Yeah Marvin 's insight there isn't very insightful.Vasconia wrote:Almost everybody(including Schumacher or Hamilton, among others) praised Alonso´s 2012 season.marvin78 wrote:2012's car was a very good car. byrne had nothing to do with exhaust. But he did have something with so called magical floor which was never introduced (Probably media hype)GoranF1 wrote:You are a tipical semi-profesional F1 fan!marvin78 wrote:2012's car was a very good car. Just because you remember a few wins from the car you think is was a good car.
Both cars were mediocore esspecialy the 2012 car. In both years it was not only inferior to RB but also to Mclaren many times. People seem to forget the burning bodywork from the "Byrne" exhaust and after that Ferrari's incompetence to bring decent replacement until Canada.
In 2010 only advantage the car had was that RB was unreaible car.
Those cars wins were due to 1 man.
Alonso.
At the time i remeber perfectly reports saying the coanda style exhaust Ferrari brought to test 1 was Byrne's design or idea.F1NAC wrote:byrne had nothing to do with exhaust. It's not that easy(by that I mean fast) to manufacture new body and new piping for exhaust. You professional F1 fan should know that

2012 car definitely not a 'good' car by the standards of a team whose budget is so big and who have perpetual championship aspirations.GoranF1 wrote:You are a tipical semi-profesional F1 fan!marvin78 wrote:2012's car was a very good car. 2014 was a year that showed how lost Ferrari was. It was time to build a great/powerful engine and they built a tiny/weak one.toraabe wrote:Well I feel that they are a bit too negative these days. A couple of years ago it was the engine that was wrong ..... ..
In theory there were times Alonso was using a different engine mode; but the point was not that Alonso was not the faster driver - it's very clear that he was - just that the car was also capable of winning that particular race in another driver's hands, so it can't have been too bad.GoranF1 wrote:In Hockenheim esspecialy was Alonso faster then Massa.f1316 wrote:and of course Hockenheim (no explanation necessary).GoranF1 wrote: You are a tipical semi-profesional F1 fan!
