Looks like I was spot on about this track suiting the RB, entry oversteer FTW.

I might have dreamt it up but wasn’t one of the engine map change conditions that the map had to be identical for all customer teams when you eventually took a new engine?

Knowing merc took a new engine these weekend I just wonder if that has capped them a bit ?

I think it is all about tyres and track layout

Or not...

WELL DONE BOTTAS!! I was almost waiting for him to say 2mm made all the difference. Can't feel too bad, very close to Hamilton, there's still a lot to play for tomorrow.

RB finally catch up with Merc and the one to come out on top is Bottas. Guy has a a lot more talent than people give him credit for.

Weird that Verstappen didn't 'smash sector 3'. If only he'd know about that one weird trick, 4/10ths would have put him comfortably on pole. Unless...perhaps Hamilton and Bottas read this board! :o :o :o

Also weird to see both Verstappen and Hamilton consistently lose time in Q3 compared to Q2.

Still, starting from the clean side of the grid should be a big help tomorrow, Verstappen could easily be splitting or leading the Mercs by lap 2.

Driver of the day - Leclerc
Fail of the day - the director who decided that watching the lead three cars cruise into the pitlane was more exciting that the rest of Qualifying.

But sector 3 was where the RedBull and Max lost most of their time, not quite what was being said a few days ago so not quite spot on maybe ?

Can't have removed something that was never there in the first place.

What do we think about the midfield battle? Does Leclerc finish best of the rest? Do Renault trump Sainz and Norris? Where do Perez and Hulk finish?
