Wow you are really on the AI hype train using all these buzz words. It could be done by AI, but too be honest I think this also could be done perfectly rule based without AI. An agentic based AI system looks completely overkill and RAG is for text based LLMs so would have little to do with this.
No, it couldn't be done by AI, at least not competently.

But you are 100% right about all the AI buzzword salad. lol

I'm not some 'AI is a scam' sort at all, but it's wild how much some people are trying to infuse it into everything where it doesn't even make any practical sense.
It depends on what you want to achieve. You could have an AI model that shows the times of the cars potentially will ride the fastest lap as an enhancement.

McLaren, Redbull, Ferrari & Aston think they will use 2M+1H, everyone else thinking 2H+1M.

I sincerely hope there are no safety cars and no rain. Because it's a perfect marriage of circumstances - hot tarmac, softest compounds and a track with very less straights for tyres to cool down. This will be the acid test of driving styles and car characteristics on tyre wear.

Aston must use Softs for a two-stopper

Whats the chances of McLaren alternating strategies when its 2vs 1 with Max? I dont think copying RBR the following lap is going to work for both cars? Got to pressure Max into something. Time for McLaren to bring the strategy A-game.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Typically when McLaren are required to do something, they do the wrong thing when it comes to strategy

AWS, whom F1 already utilizes, has most of this already.

So you went from LLMs with RAG to some video object identification API's on amazon. Although all nice technologies, it is a far end from being able to decide which video stream is the most important in an F1 race and when to show what.

Went though Quali and FP2 (more representative) traces in F1-tempo.

- MCL38 is faster than RB20 over the 6-7 chicane vide superior kerb smashing and the gain is a staggering 0.2s
- RB20 is marginally better than MCL38 over 'sequences like 4-5, 8-9
- unable to conclude anything about T1. It's too dependent on braking point after straight, and which of the multiple lines is chosen by driver.

Overall, I think whichever McLaren 'drives away' in the first lap, will sail to victory. However, since the two DRS zones are back-to-back, with a massive braking zone with multiple lines corner in between, I think if there is a 'fight' the only place for it is 13-14-DRS-1-DRS-2 and a very juicy one. The rest of the lap is impossible for an overtake.

The real race this weekend, is in the pitlane.
