Can somenone explain to me how the f*** the Safety Car can come out in front of Hamilton and not Vettel. Did Vettel go to the pitlane and was behind at that point, or did the FIA screw once more ?

Congrats to Vettel...

I have to say, Hamilton is such a lucky boy. penalty for overtaking safety car and hitting Vettel, yet... he end up second.

Alonso and Schumacher is kind of unlucky... or biggest loser from the safety car event.

Koby the best driver that race. The fresh tires made him much better, but that was a great call by the team, and great work by him to keep his tires lasting the whole race.

That pass on Alonso was great.

Good job by Sebastian, but yet again, no racecraft, and a cut across Lewis's wing was his usual lack of sens of where his car is on the track in relation to others.

Hamilton's move was a little overbearing, and the safety car thing was a little silly as well.

The Mclaren, if no mistakes are made, would have won today by a mile.

Vettel and Hamilton pitted together. It was a misjudgement with the safety car, letting Vettel through and catching Hamilton and the Ferrari's out.

Well, quite an exicting race at the start and at the end
Very nice move from Kamui in the final laps. Taking Alonso and Buemi for 7th.

Rubens, ran a pretty quite race to 4th. Very good result for Williams. Hopefully it'll spur them on to greater success later this season. Not so much for The Hulk though, fire on-board took him out, sadly.

Smooth ride for Vettel, flag to flag.

No doubt, the talking point to come, Webber's incident. Rather impressive, if you ask me. I'd like to hear both Webbers and Heikki's view on what happened before forming my own opinion on it.

Driver of the day: Kamui Kobayashi, showing what he did in the 2 races last year.

If the car has cross that "safety car" line before the safety car deployed crossed the same line then he will continue at racing speed to the back of the queue. Then he is allowed to overtake through the queue back to the original position (but behind the safety car this time).

FIA once more screwed up but wow, Hamilton really had some race pace. I cant wait for Silverstone, but I dont know where the 0.5s went that Ferrari had supposedly gained? Makes me wonder if with this limited testing they just put things on the car and cross their fingers!

Jenson Button just hugged Vettel in congratulations to him. As a driver he's still not one of my favorites (though I love watching his onboards and how he just turns the steering wheel and sticks with that angle for the whole corner, it's just soo smooth) but as a person I'm warming to him greatly. After he collected the 2009 title he just seems so confident, and he seems so calm and collected.

So you just say here that Vettel could have almost lapped all the other cars, courtesy of the FIA ?

What do you mean? Vettel would catch the end of the queue and then be allowed to overtake till he's first and then everyone would be a lap behind him and then they would all overtake the SC (And Vettel) and come back behind him? That's just silly.
Isn't the SC supposed to catch the leader always?

They cut it when they arrive. Alonso had those crazy locks all the time, but was shorn as soon as he got to Macca. They have some pretty tight restrictions, or at least tight things that are expected of them. Jenson's beard would not have been very liked at Mclaren.

They had signed in their contract that they would drink alcohol during the entire season, podium's excepted for 2007.
