Anyone dissatisfied with this result because it’s Carlos ahead of Charles is a crazy person. A Ferrari 1-2. Against the RB20. This is crazy good. I doubt it would have happened had max not retired, so we have to take it while we can.

My only disappointment is that my bets were on Charles not Carlos.

Great race by Ferrari. Great strategy, great setup and very well done overall. Couldn't be happier.

Also, the pace compared to McLaren later in the race was concering.
Not gapping them by 20 seconds is not acceptable.

Sainz made it looked like a walk in the park today… flawless drive. Wonder if Ferrari is questioning their decision to drop him now…

A pity Charles looked off today, but a Ferrari 1,2 regardless is a lovely day indeed! Hopping he bounces back for the next one.

McLaren definitely a surprise though, wasn’t expecting that sort of pace. This gave me 2007-2008 vibes.

Waiting to hear the reasoning that is given for why the wonder boy as beaten by a midfield driver.

Leclerc is good. So is sainz. Sainz has looked stronger than Leclerc all weekend.

Sainz has been in a different league today. Race pace strong from the Ferrari & McLaren today. Would have been interesting to see how Max’ car got on with the tyres today as Perez doesn’t seem to have handled them too well!

Not gapping them by 20 seconds is not acceptable.
The tire warmup was not optimal for SAI in the last stint, while LEC had a normal warmup for 3 laps before pushing which allowed him to place a good lap at the end on 6 laps older tires.

Pace differential was there but tire warmup was critical, LEC didn't do it in the 2nd stint and his 2nd was bungled, SAI didn't in the 3rd. Otherwise they had pace differential from MCL enough to have similar pace on 6 laps older tires.

Lots of work to do, the way the car warms up its tyre seems finicky.

Looked like the fastest car today, clearly in the hands of Sainz anyways. Pity we didn't get to see the pace vs Ver.

Due to an aggressive undercut Charles was always on more worn tires compared to Norris.

Carlos had a bad final stint for whatever reason, before that he was 10s in front of everybody and he sealed his win with searing pace late in the first stint.

It was race management. Charles managed fastest lap on second from last. No point in pushing lap after lap when the risk of tyre graining was so great.

Brilliant from Sainz, astonishing given he is back from surgery.

Very well executed race from the whole Ferrari team - big result for Fred! Congratulations Ferrari!

Extremely happy with the results, my POV I will retain Carlos for FY2025 in the team through some kind of role. This guy is very precious. Well done team great effort and it’s very kind of the Melbourne circuit to confirm this track to be Ferrari’s lucky track in terms of the results they have achieved here.
Hope the team go better next time and beat Max on track.
