In hindsight…probably should have used the soft in the 2nd stint. To then finish on the medium.

Decent pace…McLaren are in a different formula when in the lead. In traffic, less so.

I think this was the best result that could be had.
Lewis benefited more from the strategy than Charles, but I really don't think it could have been better.
Using the leader's strategy, Antonelli and Lando would have got past I think.

Good race craft from Both drivers. Strongest team on the grid. Lewis qualy is poor, but Lando's race craft is even poorer.
For Sure!!

Robbed by the useless SC.

They had the best strategy.

The only clownshow are the FIA and some posters here.

Charles and Lewis did the maximum today. Safety car was poorly timed from Charles.

Hopefully, George gets a five second, Ferrari need to comb Norris' onboard for a fourth track limit. Charles DRS popped open mid turn 11 with Norris right behind, was mad. If George gets done, you'd imagine Charles could get done as well.

Great race by Charles. Too bad that the safety car ruined it. But man, that car is slippery as an eel.

The Ferrari ERS is strong as heck. They've had really strong electrical driver for some years now. Leclerc seemed to have a good SOC ready to defend.

I saw that as well, but surely he would've spun out if the DRS opened? Are you sure it wasn't a light reflecting off the shiny black rear wing or something?

It is scarily fast, but the McLaren was also just by far the slowest car on the straights which flattered the Ferrari a bit.

That safety car completely neutralised what would have actually been a brilliant strategy for Ferrari. Why does it always fall at the wrong time!

IMO they wasted the strategic advantage - yes the safety car didn’t help but I think they made two errors (1) not going with the one stop (2) not using the soft at the SC - Russell showed it was doable and the hard was always going to be useless.

Charles maximised what he was given and Lewis pretty much too tbh, but it could have been better. Pace generally was decent so let’s see in Jeddah as it seems like they’re optimistic for the high speed corners.

Lewis saved face today. The race craft and precision is still there. Cleanest overtaker on the grid. Old boy just needs more pace.
Leclerc showed him a clean pair of heels on the last stint too. The gap went from 4 to over 10 seconds I believe. Maybe Lewis gave up and just brung the car home, because in truth all the cars ahead were faster.

Agreed on the soft. That would have been a good choice. But hard to tell how the deg would be. It was good on the Merc, but may not have been a good tyre for Ferrari.

They should have split the strategies. No need to "risk" with a driver starting P2.

Huge mistake by the Team.

Given how horrific the hard was, Ferrari was right not to go for the one stopper. They pitted him at the perfect time to avoid the DRS train. He then drove a perfect stint on the second set of mediums that was sadly cut short by the safety car. If he gets 5-7 more laps and no safety car he can go on the softs until the end and get a comfortable P2.

Ferrari was clearly winning the strategy game here.
