I thought it was homologated =fixed??

Any source for this?

With the super soft tyres this weekend I have a bad feeling.
Ear or eyewitness ,myself ..RTL is official F1 broadcaster in Germany and Haug gave this statement to Niki Lauda after the race ...without being under pressure...
Yes but Schumacher also said that the updates who bring permformance will be just ready for SPA. So no mayor improvement for Hockenheim.

Things have moved on a bit since the 12th of July.
RTL are adamant its a new chassis for Hockenheim.

So, this is the second new chassis that Schumacher has had. The last "new" one did nothing for him. I wonder if this "new" chassis wold be any different??

the new chassis he got was the oldest (No1?) they had used for testing originally..
so I guess it is as an early part not as perfect as later ones build with more experience...
i´m surprised they even mentioned this planned swap for the obvious comments that will of course will be forwarded..

all i have read is improvements to the F-duct and the EBD. I have not read something about improved tyre set up. So I would not be surprised if they make a big hash of it again.

No question of IF WhiteBlue.

Mercedes have had the problem for some time, and are engineering around it.
The reason for it I suspect is homologation related. Otherwise we may have seen a different concept altogether.
The question for Hockenheim is how much they struggle.

isnt that rear wing just super duper ultra draggy with that? I understand it is for jaw conditions, but on the straight all the air will collide with those bulges.

Thank you once again my friend! What would we do without you! :D

Wesley, That rear wing looked really draggy to start with...I would say this is an improvement...
Lets hope it works!

Not really, that part of the wing has air circulation in it, so technically those bulges wont affect the drag significantly. The big holes between them may take of some drag though.

I think this wing is basically doing what Mclaren did in 2009 at monaco. Their f duct may still be open loop.
I don't know why they wont just slap on a shark fin like everybody else and run a pipe through it to get an f duct that works with the reliable control of the driver.
For Sure!!

The reason for why they dont do it like that is quite simple, because of the airbox position, you actually loose the whole idea of the lo airbox because the F-Duct is fitted above it

Yeah, their design is so radical, it's hard to change at this time.
