Did you watch quali? Merc were putting in 1.11.7s in Q2, 2-3 tenths faster than eventual pole time and Russell got pole on used tyres. If anything the Mercs underperformed in Q3 on their new tyres and apart from that it shook out as we should've expected if the Merc was fastest

What other conclusion should we make if the Merc is fastest in fp3, Q1, Q2 and gets pole on used tyres?

But it does look like Merc are running less downforce. Could be costly with high degradation and rain possible
What I saw was a resurfaced track, smooth as they come, flattened curbs and an RB20 with the same mid-load wing level it couldn't run in Imola :) The car is capable of generating tyre heat in all conditions, as we saw in Suzuka and Shanghai previously. I guess the time lost in FP2 played a role with Max' confidence and pace...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Horner leaked that perez's contract is a 1+1 deal as speculated by the media.
We decided to extend Checo for one more year, but in the meantime we also wanted to exercise Yuki's option. He is doing great at RB at the moment. So yes, he will stay for another year."

"Well, 1+1=2, so it is a two-year contract. As with any contract, there is all sorts of things in it, but that is, of course, between the driver and the team

Max, Leclerc, Hamilton in his prime, they all have an extra gear in Q3. Max missed it by a thousand, it's not a typical sight but it happens. Or maybe it was down to Russell's tow on his first lap, Imola reversed :)

.
Well, in your article there is a Tweet from broadcaster ViaPlay with an interview with Horner.
The same kind of interview in which Max said his MGU-K was broken but they didn't make a Tweet about it. :(

Can you watch the interview in the Tweet outside the Netherlands or is it Geo Blocked?

Max is the boss.
You guys are gonna need him to win the WCC on his own again by the looks of it

I don’t think so, the rest is too close. Hope on tracks where they are good they actually still have an advantage.

Back to back to back failure to get into Q3. Back to back Q1 exits. Back to back DNFs.

2 year contract renewal.

What a joke.

Sainz also caused that collision with Albon, he could have straightened out the wheel. Imho a penalty.
