what is the rational explaination to SUzuka qualy weak performance!!

Chasis or aerodimic need in s1. And the trouble is in s1. EB please explain for us why?

The problem today is all over the track. Definetly dissapointing and somehow unexpected, but we shall see what happens tomorrow. Especially Buttons car was quite tail-dance happy in the accelerations.

They haven't been able to get the tyres in their operating window in the cool conditions in the same way that other teams ahead are able to especially Haas.

This is embarassing and for sure not honda's fault its pure chasis issue. When they talked to jenson he said switching directions so frequently is not our strength. This will hurt honda bit more for sure. Hasegawa might shout Gp2 chasis during race.

and he should shout it... honda did epic work from last season, mclaren not so much... they've been telling tales all year long how the chassis is great bla bla, and then this happens... on hondas home gp... such a shame...

Could we please stop this BS about it's purely the engine / purely the chassis...
Both are simply not good enough and in cool temperatures there's the additional problem that tyres simply won't get into working range.

Well, if I see it correctly both cars had a similar time in Q1. One car with the "old" engine, one with the praised new engine, which should be more powerful. Again tokens spend for nothing. I do not see how Honda can shout anything.

The same for McLaren. The cold temps are no excuse, already the warmer FP2 showed that they will battle with Renault. Taking into account, that this is another benchmark circuit like Barcelona, the development is going backwards.

Exactly so, it can be just they've missed the set up from the start and never recover the balance needed

Where have Haas been all season? Them being in q3 with both cars shows how representative of form this track is. Last year Williams outqualified Ferrari and redbull at this track. This track throws up odd results now and again. Everyone up in arms for one bad showing. The last few races have shown us where McLaren are. Last year they were in the same positions in japan, yet looking mighty racy in Austin. Let's hope the same thing happens this year, just without the over optimism and pessimism

Every time McLaren do bad 'we told you so!! Chassis is real bad!! Engine is even worse!!!'

Every time they do good 'chassis is the fastest!!!! Engine is improving!!!'

Truth is, engine is some way behind Renault. Chassis is at best 4th fastest, at worst 6th fastest with tyre issues which make it even slower

True, both are mediocre. Perhaps they will be good in 2017 but I am afraid that the improvement wont be enough to fight for the victories.
