McLaren have gone through a difficult season, but a proper look at their new MP4-31 suggest they have put in considerable effort to come back from that swiftly.
A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
This Picture posted by Lucky above shows how early the Bodywork stops on the Floor and just how much free Space there is on top of the Diffusor. I just added an Arrow to show what i mean.
Also no additional cooling Ducts on the Front Brake Ducts today.

I removed a few posts about the laptimes or comparing laptimes with other cars.
Only if laptimes are being correlated back to respective parts of the car, they can be used. Laptimes during testing mean very little anyway as they are not driving in anger: they test parts, they test reliability, they run big aero rakes, etc. There's no information to be gained out of it.
Any particular findings not correlated back to specific hardware of the car should go into the team thread, you can find the link in the first post.
Its the output of the blower they use to cool the brakes when the car is stationary. Some teams have adapters that fit the brake cooler inlets. Some don't, this one is from from haas
