More like, the circuit's terrible barrier design with a sudden break jutting out in the middle of an otherwise smooth curve destroyed the car. Thank God they've invested a lot in the survival structure otherwise the sensors would've been the least of everyone's concerns.
as far as i know drivers are to rely on the signal given on the steeringwheel
If that's the case, why do marshals have flags? if they mean nothing. Surely that can't be right.
The whole reason why there are flags on the track is to have a system in case the electronic one fails (like in this situation)

Max admitted been aware of the accident, aware of the yellow flags and he still didn’t give a cent about the safety of another driver and of potential Marshals at the track...

One might argue that this penalty is not even gonna hurt him, given the long straight.

I'm sure that he would have lost positions to both Ferraris anyway.

It may actually play in his favor... But it’s good for FIA to be strict when it comes to Safety.

For the official statistics does the pole remain to Verstappen?

- Ugh colour me completely wrong and  (about Q pace). Walking on eggshells tyres are to blame, rubbish.
- Penalty for Verstappen? Must be every fifth or tenth rule :D .
- Albon is now a front runner for "making Verstappen look good" position at RB '20. -0,6s .

Deserved.

But such as shame for the race as the Ferrari's will just control the pace now and nobody will be able to pass them.

Ferrari is out of control.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

You wouldn't say "well done" to the postman if he did not deliver your mail initially, went back to the mail office where someone would point out the undelivered letter, he'd reply "nah it's fine" only for you to inform the mail that the letter wasn't delivered, upon which he'd finally give you the letter with a massive delay, would you?

With Leclerc on Pole and Vettel on P2 and the long run towards turn1 it could get interesting keeping the events from the Russian GP in mind.

funny how all think Ferrari will drive away ....
they won't because Hamilton AND Verstappen can use the slipstream on the straight and a "angry" Verstappen is more willing to fight the the one starting on pole....

so as already stated here, Max is clapping his hand and is glad he hast the Ferrari's in front of him
