To me the RB candidates are Sainz, Ricciardo and outside chance on Alonso. Marko said no decision will come before August.
I think Daniel will ultimately be their choice. One thing he's already proved at RB/AT is that he can develop a car and Yuki doesnt seem to have that ability. RBR also know that Daniel likes the same style of pointy car that Max likes - that would result in 2 drivers who can both be extracting the cars potential week in, week out.
Sainz has been driving at a high level for a top team. It would make more sense to get him if he was available. Sainz might even make concessions to get the seat. And his dad is still sponsored by Red Bull.

I just don’t see it happening, he’s been out of the RedBull stable for 7 years and got passed over for Max when he was there.

Don't forget how he left RedBull either... Jos and Carlos Sainz Sr. do not get along whatsoever

What happens if Yuki beats Daniel in a convincing matter? Is he a possible candidate fur Red Bull as well? I haven't seen any comments of Marko on him recently.

Yuki is likely going to Aston Martin.

Yes. Honda push for it. So Alonso 100% out from AM in 2025. He will not choose RB due to ford. Alonso did not want another McLaren-Honda like situation in 2026. He may heading towards Mercedes in 2025 and 2026.

I already said something similar earlier but got no answer...

How would a Tsunoda/Stroll pair achieve any serious championship goals? All due respect to both drivers but it's the truth.

Even if Honda "pushes", who says Aston is forced to agree? If they did, they would be basically excluding themselves from any championship unless the car is so dominant that there is no competition at all.

Tsunoda & Stroll @ Aston 😂

Ridiculous. Would be one of the worst pairings in F1.

As for Alonso, if KA excels in F2, it’s likely retirement.

I see Sainz to RB more probable than Daniel to RB. Daniel needs to beat Yuki first, which I don't think he will personally, although if he can create a nice gap to Yuki and beat him comfortably that would be a good starting point towards getting back the seat of Perez. I don't think Red Bull are interested in Tsunoda long term, and it feels like he's there because of Honda.

RB probably won't replace Perez if they have a large advantage this year as well. In case they don't they might start considering other options.

Toto seems to want to pull a Verstappen with Antonelli, and if Kimi is good, it could be nice. Russell is a solid top driver, and a good second driver alongside him would be great. Carlos at Mercedes would instantly make them a very strong pairing.

Norris, Leclerc, Verstappen, Piastri are all locked in.

Alex Albon might have an important role in this silly season. But who will Williams get to replace him? Interesting domino effect in place.

You are looking for logic in a situation where logic often does not apply.

I would not be surprised if this is Stroll's final season on F1. Aston have their Le Man's Hypercar team now, so perhaps Lance accepts that he is never going to be a champion in F1 but maybe could be at LM....

That frees up a seat for Yuki without forcing them to sacrifice having a top driver
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Then you'd hope that he was next in-line to replace Checo. Christian might have a soft spot for Daniel, but he's not going to hire a slower driver for RBR.

In my opinion it only works the one way (Daniel beat Tsunoda, then Daniel has a chance at RBR seat). If RBR wanted Tsunoda at RBR, he would already be there.

I think you need someone that can handle Max too - I wonder with Yuki how he would handle someone in MV that is just that much better than him - think it was the issue with others in the past Albon etc - you improve start to get close to which Max switches up another gear rince and repeat - I think that was te issue driving against Hamilton too and why Nico retired iirc. Knew that Hamilton would come back even harder what makes him such a good driver. I think thats something Daniel could handle - also knowing you'd pretty much relegated to the No 2 driver with how RB overates

I agree - Daniel has already shown flashes of his old brilliance (Mexico), so I doubt Yuki will win the inter-team battle.
