I agree but maybe they don't want to distort they're logo...

Seems the RW endplates aren't at thick as i thought, they've been curved on he edged can't think of why though.

exactly, grats to your calculator!!!

why they have changed their traditional shape for the airbox over driver's head? now it's circular and very ugly...

Theres probably a perfectly reasonable aero explination.

Im thinking its all due to the face that the ferarri 056 could be miles more fuel efficient this year.

Beautiful car, especially from the rear. Clean, neat and tidy, without any bells and whistles on it, as it was for the last couple of years. What is quite interesting about Ferrari is how their car always looks the most conservative on the outside compared to the other front runners, and yet they make it work.
I am a bit surprised by Alonso's sitting position though, as it seems quite high as noticed before. If you look at Francesc's pictures from page 16 and compare it to this one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... est_14.jpg , from last year's test, it does look like his helmet is quite high up, looking at the headrest and the airbox. Or is that just the angle playing tricks on me...

I believe this is a result of the ban on DDD, which feature required undercut of sidepods to maximise flow to the rear, a la the BGP01. Wasn't the RB5's sidepods, OTOH, undercutless?

Just had a thought about the suspension cables on the F150 rear floor. What if they're designed to allow the rear floor section to lower slightly and thus make the diffuser work even better.

A new flexi-wing controversy in the making...

Are you implying that Ferrari will have an illegal device on their car, despite all their shouting against the double diffuser in 2009 and their rants against Red Bull last year?

It's the nose side on that looks very similar. Stick vertical front wing supports on the Sauber and it's almost a carbon copy.

Seems like there's an echo in this thread! I'm sure I saw those exact same pictures (in better quality) on the previous page.

This does however give me the chance to air an observation. I'm not sure about this one, so bare with me for a moment...

Initially, when I saw the ARW actually in it's moved position I thought to myself "hmm, I can't see the sponsors being too happy with their billboard being placed at an oblique angle". But then I thought about it a little more and realised, for the first few races at least, the fans are going to be fixated on that thing just waiting for it to move, so actually it works in favour of whichever sponsor gets their name on that thing.
