If anything, Lance even said that it was too early for the slicks but his engineer insisted that he stayed on their program. This one was on Aston Martin.

I think it was originally Lance's call to try slicks but I don't want to blame someone specifically as the whole team lost and it's not the right thing.

I wont blame Lance.....AM really need to take a call on their strategist. U can't bet riskiest strategy on ur most underperforming asset...period.

The amount of confidence they have in Lance's abilities astonishes me. They should change name to Astonish Martin

Alonso should have done two lap runs , 1 before Lance one after. But hindsight is 20/20

he is the owner so he has the privileges to do whatever he wants. no one have guts to say no to him for tyre change. It is team problem.

Fernando got the wrong end of the strategy stick after the red flag in the shootout made him start behind Lance and was at the back, tried to regain places aggressively but didn't work out, at least the car is fine and no points were at play regardless

What made me more angry was when stroll arrived in pitlane on a scooter he was smiling. Generally when a driver crash in these circumstances they are dejected and dnt take off helmet. He had a smirk, confident pay driver smirk, no regret nothing. Take off alonso from team and this team will be max 7th or 8th in championship.

Mostly a weekend to forget even if tomorrow a few points will be at play they will be minor. The summer break will be a good thing for a team in need of regrouping.

Although morale has hit rock bottom I will try to be the optimist of the group and say that if there can be a positive, it is that hopefully the next updates will fix the recent shortcomings of the car and that could mean a step forward as they have more performance to gain (or regain) than others. It is in these critical moments of adversity that people prove their worth, and if they manage to regroup and move forward it will be a good sign for the future.

The best thing that could happen is the summer break to regroup. They are hemorrhaging points with this current car specification. I suggested that they break parc ferme for the sprint race and run a higher downforce setup.
