Some trouble in S3 due to low top speed:

They should really try the Jeddah/Melbourne wing, it seems to be a better downforce/drag trade off than this Bahrain spec
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

If you look at F1 tempo, most of the loss to RB in sector 3 is coming from the chicane, so low speed performance, not so much the straight performance.

This data is heavily compromised. For example he says McLaren was fast in S1 but that is only because that was the sector Lando finished on new tyres - then in middle of S2 it was red flagged.

On his lap on used softs his first sector was similar to Piastri. Both were on tyres that they already started a hot lap on, then had to pit with them, and go out later again.

I can only see that we'll be mixed with 2 Ferrari here.
To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone. ― Bruce McLaren

Agree. If the race is dry, then this makes sense.

Norris reckons they’ll be the 3rd quickest team again this weekend.

He also said RB and Ferrari were "miles ahead" in Melbourne and is known for being terribly pessimistic.

This always happens after Friday, we are known for running conservatively compared to others. Whats interesting is I took a look at the 2023 F1 practice report and compared it to this years. They read almost identically. With F1's charts showing Ferrari ahead in 2023 as well.

We've not been running conservatively compared to Ferrari, from what I can see this year. We have typically found less kph between practise and Q than the Red team this year.

In any case, if anyone outside of the teams can have any meaningful idea of the various teams pace then I will be surprised, I can't understand how half these charts have been produced. When did FP1 become representative?
