So Lewis during the first stint said: "I can't turn the rears" and last week he said that with this car you have to use the rear to turn it.
Frankly i don't understand what does it mean. You guys have any ideas?
Different setup, different track, etc. could be creating different issues across races?

He hasn't found a solid direction like Leclerc has, he's probably trying something different this weekend than the last one and it resulted in a different problem.

People keep saying Russell is better when Leclerc has a bad car. But in my eyes Leclerc is clearly the 2nd best driver on the grid and arguably closer to Verstappen than to Russell.
I don't think Russell is that far off from Leclerc (or Verstappen) in terms of tire and race management or pace. Mercedes struggled massively on the hards, unless Russell was making mistakes I didn't see I'd put the poor pace down to the car and not him personally. If you put the three of them in perfectly equal cars and let them loose on a track they'd do very similar times.

The place where Russell falls behind is in wheel-to-wheel. Leclerc has more experience in it than Russell or Norris and it shows. We all know Leclerc is one of the only drivers who can match Verstappen for more than a few corners along with Hamilton. There was a few laps of it in Brazil last season.
Russel is stronger than both wheel to wheel.
No way. Max & Leclerc of similar league.
Then it’s Russell, watch out Kimi is matching Russell. Once he is adapted to Mercs completely, you will see him outqualify Russell.

I’m a massive Charles fan, but I think Max is in a league of his own. Don’t think the RB21 is much further ahead of the SF25 but Max makes the difference.
That’s not knocking Charles, in any way

Rb21 > SF25. If the car isn’t there, please watch where Max finished last race.

Max is great but he’s vulnerable. We’ve seen in 2021/2024/2025 title fight.

The Imola upgrades will be crucial to keep morale high, but I think the gap in the championship is quite insurmountable barring a huge leap from us.

Somewhat on that topic - 2026 needs to be catered towards Leclerc as much as possible. This is an all time special talent we have.

I don't know what to say about Lewis..
He's going to need these 2 weeks to regroup and put in some work in the simulator.

Probably get a haircut too and go play in the simulator 12hrs for 10 days straight.
I noticed Gasly and Doohan got a buzz cut  . It could be to strictly focus on racing and not worry about little things like vanity, or it may well be to do with getting more direct sense of orientation and balance through the helmet.
The G forces will exagerate the weight and vibrations of the head with the helmet as well. And Lewis hair may well dampen some of that direct feel in the corners and under braking.
Just a theory. It wont give him 3 tenths. But the point is he needs to try everything to make progress.
If it's any time for Lewis to drop his side deistractions and fashion stuff it would be now. The microscrope under Ferrari is 10 x worse than at Mercedes.
He will need to take some drastic actions to understand what he needs to do to drive the SF25 as second nature, even if it means throwing it into a wall at high speed in a practice session.
For Sure!!

I think it's a testament do drive until you are no longer fast enough.
He hasn't been fast enough last few years compared to his teammates. I don't understand why people don't want to accept that. You cant compete with young lions at that age.

I would even say he already lost some agresion in 2021.
This is not Lewis from 2007 any more.
lewis is a great talent, but he is not a generational talent
is the most overrated driver ever, and he had an giant support from FIA and Mercedes/Ron Dennis since the begining, he has always raced with rules for his own.

he is not alonso, he cant be at top level forever
this was shown between 2010-13, we had Alonso driving for ferrari and making miracles every race, and each year Alonso had a really slower car compared to hamilton, but each year alonso managed to outscore hamilton by a mile.
if hamilton havent moved to mercedes he would have retired with 1 title, and thats enough for his talent, because he dont deserve more than 1 WDC

If you put today Alonso and Hamilton in the same car, Alonso would destroy hamilton

The year is 2025 not 2005.
We know how that matchup ends already.

Dont feed the troll, people.
Anyway, Lewis's post race interview was very worrying. I hope its just post-race emotion and he doesn't actually believe that

From what LEC was saying in the interviews it seems like they are betting on the new technical directive helping them close the gap, which is basically what Horner has been saying for months. McLaren don't seem very worried about the new front wings so I feel like they have that covered, but we shall see.

LH struggle with setup in Merc for the last 2 years and now in Ferrari.
Perhaps it's not the team or the car, but the driver himself.

I think Charles can be happy with the podium finish. As for LH, 2025 could be another very long and tough season for him. His first race in Italy is going to be very difficult if he continues to struggle.
