this is bull s**t :!:

also alonso gained an advantage before the last corner in hockenheim when he goes off the track to gain more speed in the straight line. he does that on every lap of the race... does anyone talks about this :?: no :!:

it's the same situation here... also vettel get a punishment in hockenheim like no driver so far... :wtf:

Oh good eyes there, brzt! It flew over most people's heads! He should be penalized! The time should not stand because he clearly got an advantage by going straight off and not turning in tight enough to stay on the track. I am very keen to see what the stewards do and what Horner has to say about his golden boy.

Should be a penalty...rules are rules. I agree, FA's last lap in Germany shouldn't have counted but if I recall he didn't need it either way and would have still been on pole with his first lap. Some drivers seem to like to be continually pushing this rule this season and it should be clamped down on before getting out of hand

The only way Vettel might get a penalty is if any team highlight it. Dont think any team really saw Vettel do it.

The green patch vettel was driving over when going off the circuit with 4 wheels, was that artificial grass? That could have offset that gained advantage (or atleast a part of it).

But that doesn't change the fact that he was off track and by the rules his time should be delete...but then again the steward may think otherwise... :D

Unfortunately the stewards will ignore it, even though several other drivers backed off from quick laps as soon as they ran slightly wide so that they made sure they kept within the rules. Last race Vettel was running all four wheels off the track lap after lap without punishment, with the stewards only stepping in when he overtook Button in the way that he did.

I really dislike the way certain rules are only selectively enforced. If that is the FIAs intention, then they should modify the rules so that everyone is 100% clear as to where they stand.

They mentioned that in the drivers meeting so Vettel is well aware.

So why there was no penalty for Alonso for Running off the track in Hockenheim?
There is a chance of a 0.9 mm to 0.4 mm rain between 13h and 16h tomorrow Btw :D

vettel is free to go on the race and it will be shame if he get's another penalty... :o

ps - the rules are rules and they are the same for every driver. why alonso didnt get a penalty in hockenheim? he drove every lap by over the track on the same corner before the last one...
