Considering that Pat Symonds was also part of Singapore 2008 (he also got banned like Briatore, although not for life, before a court overturned it as well) and later became FIAs Chief Technical Officer from 2017-2024, this really isn't that controversial.

Thanks for the correction. But whether it's for the FIA or Formula One Management, the point still stands, and he had an influental role in the sport in that time period (amongst other things, he was a big part of the creation of the current technical regulations).
