I'll have to wait until they take off their helmets to see the difference!

No, I did not have it either
Short pylons means that massa is probably testing a medium-low downforce configuration for next race. That is coherent with the bulge under tha nose and with a less estreme configuration of teh front turning vanse under the nose.

If my picture is coreect (I could be wrong) Alonso , who is preparing for this race (massa tested those parts in monza), has the high df configuration, which should be with long pylons, front turning vanes with more slots, no bulge under the nose, and shark mouth. New multi element fw for him also

Good point! Sauber uses this diffuser/floor at least since May (Spanish GP weekend)...

Very good spot, as always for Piola!
I tried to compare:

The team was even flo-vis testing in FP3. Interesting.

Two different configurations for Ferrari in qualifying:
ALONSO: normal nose, new front wing, two elements turning vanes.
MASSA: "bulge" nose, old front wing, one element turning vanes.

Fernando said the new FW was worth 0.1s. Glad to see a number put behind a specific part/update.

Really bad result regardless the 0.1 new FW improvement..Anyone thinks that these big sideways radiator exits are really disturbing rear end producing good and stedy downforce on the rear end,or is just me considering them a waste of the good packaging they achieved this year??

Difficult to say if that is really a major part of their problem.
That said these huge exits won't help getting a smooth and fast flow over the upper side of the diffuser. And that in turn does not help the pressure gradient inside the diffuser, making the flow more prone to detaching. Or, in order to avoid it, its expansion ratio has to be decreased.
If you compare RB's rear end to the Ferrari it is not too difficult to conceive that the flow profile over the diffuser will look much more favourable for the RB.
If that is the decisive difference?
Probably even Ferrari themselves don't know.

U got my point exactly..I Did compared it with RB and i think the way Ferrari have placed their radiators gives a huge advantage in the amount of surface to be flown if they d go in an RB exhaust/radiator placing..I think there is a lack of imagination and crativity on aerodynamic part of Ferrari..Hope someone to go in charge of their aerodynamic department..

Long pylons for both or Massa with cut-out in the lower part of the pyolns?

Long only for Alonso. Cuttered for Massa
