Toro Rosso STR7 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The car is a dog. The drivers are good, they are former champions unlike Buemi for example.

I would venture to say it is about the 9th fastest. Cars dont exist in a vacuum if it cant finish who cares how fast it is around a single lap. If the drivers cant drive it then its still not fast

1. Red Bull Racing 164
2. McLaren 133
3. Lotus F1 Team 108
4. Ferrari 97
5. Mercedes AMG 69
6. Sauber 58
7. Williams 44
8. Force India 28
9. Scuderia Toro Rosso 6
10. Caterham 0
11. Marussia 0
12. HRT 0

The TR drivers don't understand the tyres. Button who is a WDC is already half a second slower than Hamilton on his bad days with the tyres so it is quite plausible that these TR drivers are heavily under utilizing the car. I bet if you give Alonso a few practice sessions with it it will be right up there.

Hey guys, anybody heard about Ascanelli not being with STR this week because he is unhappy with how the team is being run?

This car is pretty much the same as last year minus the obv changes to the nose and exhaust. Its not rly strange that its so bad.
