So with Schumi scoring 0-1-0-1-0 I'm voting for him to qualify 9th, get hit in the first corner, limp around to the pits, and from lst drive to a 10th for another 1 point.
Even if he qualifies onpole, gets demoted to 5th, he'll still end up just scraping the points due to bad luck.
I'm betting on him winning pole but 5th is not the place to win the race from. Maybe with the rain theres a chance...
Or....he grabs pole, gets demoted to 5th, gets hit by....you guessed it, Grossjean, then he pits, gets a new front wing, then puts in one hell of a wet drive to overtake Button and then Alonso to win the race. Rosberg is content putting around in 5th place.

Schumacher then goes on to win the title and retires for good after three more victories: Spa, Suzuka & Monza...
@dren: Wicked stash you've got there, dude! I want in on that trip! Please pass the bong!

The season in general has been quite the lottery so far, but there are a few predictable things that we can still take some comfort in, even in Monaco: (1) Schu's unrelentingly sh!tty luck & consequent binary point results, (2) Lewis getting shamelessly scr3wed in the pits by the team again, (3) Massa making Alonso look like a miracle worker once more, & (4) Paul Hembry again taking credit for the 'spectacle,' and dismissing the tyre criticisms that continue to mount from all corners.

If the script for Act 6 continues to call for a lottery, then it might as well rain to complete the show. I just hope that Charlie Whiting & co. won't spoil the fun by unnecessarily bringing out the SC or Red Flag.

I was just thinking about the sound when the cars run around Monaco, and how ironic it is that we never hear complaints about that from the city or any residents/interest groups. Yet in small towns like Monza, Spa, etc, where there is a lot more space we have seen them complain, putting the races at risk.

Witnessing a race here is a must, for sure.

And Waynes, that is bollocks, as simple as that. It would have been just if you attended.

I think it says more about the inhabitants than the race. The Monaco inhabitants obvioulsy love the glory and glamor of F1 in their streets, while maybe Monza/Spa are situated closer to people who don't like F1.

Monaco is epic. A beacon of all that is holy in motorsport so why complain. Or maybe, when one lives in a tax free area, one tends not to complain too much - about anything?

The car will most probably struggle on the exits of turn 6,8 and 11 correct? Since they're all slow speed corners.

Out of Anthony Noghes and Ste. Devote too. Out of 6 isn't too bad, because anyway you're soon braking for Mirabeau Bas.

perhaps not too much struggle at St. Devote, since you're still partly on the throttle when you turn in.

Ste. Devote is not a very slow corner (it's somewhat medium, considering Monaco) I'll give you that. Alonso usually likes to brake up to the apex though, and that's what he's doing in that video. Massa likes to do that too. If you have bad traction, it will still hurt you as you can't build up the throttle as fast as if you had good traction.

Hmmm I think you're right.
Whats the most crucial part of the track?
The one where you can get the most time?
Sector 3?

Oh dear that's a tough question. Monaco doesn't have really one crucial laptime spot. There are quite a few IMO. Anthony Noghes, Ste. Devote, Massenet-Casino, Portier comes to mind.

Ferrari aren't using their Monaco spec fw's yet

And it's nice to see Raikkonen interacting directly with the mechanics that are working on the front brakes. He's not out of the loop like we sometimes see in the garages.

What was wrong with Button's wheel? Just lose as usual with his team or another problem?

For those in the US of A.

And Ray, I was basing the fw statement over the view of the cars in the garage being prepared to go out.
