I think it's what journalists like to say and what drivers are supposed to want to do. "It's Ferrari - everyone wants to drive for Ferrari!". Except some don't because, well, Ferrari aren't actually that special once you get past the veneer that old Enzo managed to paper over the team back in the day. Back then, Enzo had to like/want you in order to drive for them, it was a badge of being "worthy" of a seat. Today they're just another team (unless you're a tifosi, of course).
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
