Many events are being cancelled… i don't see why should F1 be different. And now, with a team already out of the race, it should be cancelled. FIA and Liberty Media should stop looking into the economical reasons, and start looking into the risk.

It appears that McLaren have pulled out of the Australian GP because of coronavirus in the team. So that means the race is cancelled too, surely. Brawn said either everyone races or no-one races. Or did that only apply to whether Ferrari could get there?

i think Mclaren nor racing is taking the virus as an excuse...... because all the teams are there, everyone is there already, 1 guy gets the virus was contained... plus if someone else came into contact..
they are all there so no real difference if the race goes forward or not..
they already all traveled and have been together and will still continue to be close to each other if not at the track.. at the hotel...

People just don't get that you can be carriers but not exhibit symptoms yet. It can take from 5 up to 10 days (or longer) until symptoms are shown but in that time could be spreading it to people. Even the numbers that are being counted now, are at best a reflection of what was 10-15 days ago!
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Honestly, it's actually completely ridiculous that F1 even tried to have this Grand Prix, given the huge crap storm that is COVID-19, is just making landfall.

Correct. Today's real infections will only really show in about 2 weeks time
Always find the gap then use it.

To be fair I am in the camp that does not understand the Mclaren thing. They have all of the team and kit ready to go yet pull out because ONE bloke gets sick.

The race should not have gone ahead. Teams should have never even travelled.

But as they are all there they may as well just do the bloody thing now. Everybody who could be infected pretty much will be anyway by now.

Honestly, if they cancel this race, they might cancel the whole season. That virus will spread anyways. If not here, then in the next race.

What about all the people who worked closely with that 1 person? What about all the people that have also came in to contact with anyone from the McLaren team? Use your head.
