I know this is not a comparison thread so I will make one post about it only.

The absolute juxtaposition of the merc vs Ferrari concept makes me worry. One simply has to, based on recent years, assume Mercedes’ have got it right or near enough, which by extension means Ferrari have not.

In terms of technically, it just seems every other team has prioritised air over the floor and diffuser much, much more.

As mentioned prior in a "mini" debate, there is usually more than one way of getting things right. Back in 2017-2018, Mercedes and Ferrari couldn't be more different, yet they were very competitive on different areas.

We just have to wait and see, pointless in trying to speculate what will work and will not just by looking at the cars.

Indeed, and just last year we had Red Bull and Mercedes with very different cars that were very closely matched over the season.

Seeing what they copied from the AMR22 in a week, I would not be surprised if a front wing similar to the W13 will be ready to the shakedown in Barcelona, if it suits them

The pointed nose tip follows the downward dip of the mainplane’s central portion, which will feed airflow to the underside of the nose and then onwards to the floor and sidepods. The nose is also constructed in a way that allows the Ferrari engineers to make changes throughout the course of the season without the need to pass another crash structure.

As others mentioned, there always are different routes to success. And 2017 is the best example why you shouldn’t necessarily be worried. Back then Ferrari shocked everyone with a unique sidepod concept and it turned out to be the best car aerodynamically.

Binotto has pointed out several times that they put everything they had into the F1-75. They thought of and tried every possible concept and eventually came up with what they think might give them the edge. Yesterday he told that looking at the data they’re convinced the car will work. I have faith in Binotto and his team.

Also, look at the variety of concepts this year. There are not only two. It’s true that Ferrari is the most different one, but that’s the exact reason I’m excited.
