WTF happened to Aston Martin after Canada? So slow now...
New tires changing the game a bit in favor of mcl compared to Aston? That seems what alonso claims.

I suspect the pace on softs was not actually intentional. I’ve never once known Merc attempt anything other than race pace over qualifying.

I’m a little unsure how Lando has managed to end up 8 seconds in front of Lewis. It’s like 4 seconds was lost somewhere in the pit stops.

Edit - Ha, Lewis said the same.

It was the best option for team points. If they prioritize Piastri Ham would have jumped Norris theoretically. They maintained the double podium. Norris just did a better in and out lap.

So back to reality as expected. Verstappen matching the times of the new hard runners with his old mediums. Will finish 30 seconds ahead without pushing.

How slow was Hamilton's outlap?

Suspect it’s that. Merc struggled to fire up the hards. The McLarens really do fire up the tyres mega quickly. Hence the massive offset during the pit stops

The McLaren is just a leap ahead of the Mercedes.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.
