The differences are minor and difficult to see but they are there.

To me, the radiator packaging of the AMR24 is so impressive. It gives them incredible flexibility in the sidepod area. I don't quite understand why this ingenuity hasn't translated to the track, but I guess looks are not everything.

Really great pictures. I know someone who introduced the Sidepod Wing Concept 13 years ago. These photos illustrate this concept, which is gaining ground again in one way or another, very vividly!

Incredibly impressed with Aston’s upgrades. Attention to detail, especially the fins on the brake assembly hub, is nice. I personally don’t remember seeing that before on another team. The lift of the side pod even higher with the inward strake across the top and onto the side is again such awesome attention to detail in shaping of the pod. It really is a wing pod in my eyes. Really really impressive work from Aston. Very nicely done.

Aston has a horizontal bump on the top of the floor. So, I'm not sure if that would illiminate the need for such things.

I'm curious about these. It's obviously a non-rotating part, and looks like it's creating an outwash? Am I correct?

But isn't the wheel fitting over these with a cover that prevents outwash? What am I not understanding properly about the intended effect of these?

I haven't seen any other photos of a team with fins like this on the brake covers.

Like you said the wheel will spin. This will cause the air to spin in there and the rim will block the exit to the outside but I think that's trying to pull the air inwards instead of staying stagnant in an effort to decrease hotspots.

Like you said the wheel will spin. This will cause the air to spin in there and the rim will block the exit to the outside but I think that's trying to pull the air inwards instead of staying stagnant in an effort to decrease hotspots.

Ahhh, thanks, I didn't think about the effect of wheel spinning affecting them.

So it's more about brake temperature control than directing air. Interesting solution , and I remember the AMR23 having some brake temp issues.
