What do you think of the prospect of a USGP 2012 at Austin Texas

Good thinking. Place has good infra structure and nice climate in winter.

Not good as it has no motor sport tradition in the US.

Also, just got word there will be 1400 porta potties on site.

...and no sales of 1-day passes for 2012.
That's a bit high. I used to park for $10 at Indy.
WHere? At a friends house?
It costs me more that that to park to go to the darn fair.
Houses and yards all around the track. Usually ranged from 10 to 20 bucks. Used to park at this one church for free for a few years.

What grand stand is between 19 and 20? Is it a PSL?

It's listed right now as "Trackside Hospitality".

Big wigs? People who want to pay for it?

I don't know. It's awfully big, and there are more over at Turn 1 and Turn 13 called "Trackside Suites".

I took a LOT of pictures last week out at the track...so many that it took forever to go through them. Got rid of most and there are still 85 left. Hope you see something you like...

Why is Travis County so bothered about traffic planning for the F1 event? Have a look at Magny-Cours, it has complete parking for its 130,000 capacity and served by just 2 roads (one being the 4 lane motorway, other a 2 lane village road).

It's also the one racetrack that has been derided for years and where we don't have a race anymore, explicitly due to the facilities being so shitty. Good pick. ;)
