As far as I've been able to gather, it's benefit comes mostly in the form of extra speed on the straits. Not many of them at Marina Bay...
Yes - the real benefits will come at tracks which favour downforce efficiency. A track like Suzuka or Korea - where you need downforce, but also have straights (Spa would've been good too)
