This one is at least easy. You should have read the readme. Currently MantiumWFlow only reads ascii stl files.
The readme even tells you that the error when working with binary stl files is useless.
Please try a different text editor first (I am assuming you are using wordpad). Close all the OpenFOAM related windows and check in Oracle VM VirtualBox if the default machine is running. If yes, turn it off and try starting OpenFOAM again.
