i don't have a technical answer, but from my short experience in sporty driving, when u r driving a car with no ABS, u should keep ur foot on the accel. puddle so the wheels don't lock, and i assume ABS is banned in f1,isn't it?

In my opinion it has nothing to do with the gearbox, the gearbox changes gears too quickly for a driver to have any influence on the shifting itself with the throttle. The most logical is that it is driver input that is shown on the screen.

My suggestion was that the engine throttling was made by the ECU, not by the driver.
