I agree that the tactical side of the refuelling means that more overtaking happens in the pit lane in theory.
However watching the drivers drive to deltas for 50-60 laps is equally as tactical and far less entertaining than watching someone try and recover positions by putting an extra stop in and repeatedly pushing push lap after push lap to try and get in front.
Whilst on the face of it this means less overtaking, I’d again argue that the quality of the overtakes today with DRS is boring. The drivers won’t risk much in way of proper racing through the corners as it means too much tyre wear and again comes back to driving to deltas.
