Mclaren and Red Bull seem very indecisive
it doesn't hurt to gather some data with the rookies, I guess. Verstappen and Piastri are both skipping FP1 anyway
That makes sense. They might just be doing it to make sure the rookies keep it on the track too  FP1 will be the lowest grip conditions.

Ferrari 1-3 is my prediction
I hope you are correct...
I am also hoping for a McLaren DNF to go with it which would likely result in Ferrari winning the constructors championship :D

Performance is probably going to be really close. Ferrari have been pretty hot recently and unusually lucky. This track is really even, but I think the softer tyres and low pressures will really help Ferrari with their quali pace here. The lack of many true high-speed corners should really be bad for McLaren as well, but there aren't exactly a lot of the slow, twisty corners that the Ferraris like either.

This track is just so neutral it's terrifying.

I'm going to go out and predict a chaotic race where the championship is decided by something crazy. One team is going to look the clear favourite, only for someone or something to throw a spanner in the works. Think Abu Dhabi 2021, but less controversial. One of the 4 ferrari/mclaren drivers will end up in an incident of some kind. Leclerc gets P2 in the WDC.

Through #9 and onto the finish line, looks quite Ferrari territory from recent car characteristics.

It is difficult to call though, especially before any running as setup and other decision can make big position shift with little time change in Q sessions.

Leclerc needed a new ES, so that's a +10 for him.

The ball is in McLaren's court now. Anything other than a straightforward way to a WCC would be a massive disappointment.

I think the penalty just makes it all but McLarens WCC title now. I think they deserve it been very consistent since Miami - not saying the quickest always but most consistent as a team since then with very few down weeks.

I've been watching F1 for years, decades actually, I am watching this session on mute & intend to do so for the entire session.
As far as I can remember it's the first time I have ever done so and I highly recommend it :D
