Gary Anderson is a walking joke. He states here that mid season slump for Ferrari wasnt rectified fast enough. But Gary who worked in motorsport should know that it takes time to manufacture and analyze parts that are doing wrong. Yet RB fell off the cliff with the preformance of their car and didn’t show any signs of improvements - 2nd fastest.
Just another rage-bait article. He also praised their recovery efforts on his team performance verdict and ranked everyone pretty accurately in an earlier article. On that note, it wouldn't surprise me if Ferrari is initially 3rd quickest behind McLaren and Red Bull because of their overhaul. Mercedes as well.
Red Bull messed up their set-up window + drivability in Imola trying to add downforce but fixed it later in the season so it's safe to say that they'll build on top of a known concept like McLaren. The Top 4 should really close up to be within 2 - 3 tenths in the European races though, Ferrari and Mercedes will develop quickly enough to match or beat McLaren/Red Bull if their mechanical platforms are stronger than 2024.
