Customer engines work as if they were made by another engine manufacturer, you only get points if they end the race in the three top places. For example, your team is using Ferrari Customer, the race result is Renault, Mercedes, Ferrari Customer 3rd, then your team gets 20 points for finishing 3rd and Ferrari gets none.
