this shall be the revolutionary f60b ? :wtf:
i cant even spot any BIG differences, just minor changes.
even the diffusor does not seem to be double decker.
well, lets hope they bring the parts to the gp.

One thing bothers me. Why can Ferrari test, when there is a halt on testing in the F1 season? Or is this some kind of airfield test?

I believe this falls into the shakedown rule....

Then you're not looking or don't know what you're looking at.

All teams are allowed to have 8 one day aerodynamic tests in a straight line or constnat radius sites, such as Vairano.

I understand Ferrari's one day test included 450 km of running, so these pictures might not show the fully updated F-60.

the "new" diffuser is definitely different, but looks more simplified.......wonders if it's just there knowing that photos would be taken so they didn't show their proper upgraded package before the race weekend.

or it may be the thing that ferrari found this new diffuser more effective rather than a traditional DDD.

well reports keep saying that Ferrari had a double deck diffuser at Vairano, so I'm standing my my speculation that they didn't bring it out during those times that cameras were allowed near the car.

Here's an interview with Aldo Costa conducted by Ferrari where he discusses the F60B, which will race in Barcelona with the double-deck diffuser. He also says that the Barcelona update includes upgrades that were originally planned for Turkey and Silverstone.

why would they hold back on updates (silverstone and turkey) when they could be introduced earlier anyways???

the benefits of dominating other teams outweighs that of hiding new developments from them. I am confused.

Thanks for the video, bhallg2k.

Bob Brown, it looks like they had to rush the planned updates. During the winter testing Ferrari expected to be at the front so they planned a more careful approach, now they have to take some risty steps to leap back.

PS: Is it just me or Aldo looks a lot like Robert De Niro when he talks?

If the 8% total generated downforce figures are accurate and or true, what kind of lap time performance increase are Ferrari looking at?

Just goes to show how fast moving this sport is when people now refer to the "tradiontal DDD" !!!
