An F1 driver can't react in time when travelling at pit lane speed? Doubt it. I remember at the time there were claims that he hit Kimi on purpose as he was a close competitor. Bit of a laughable crash either way. If he was aiming for a gap alongside Kimi, he certainly left it a bit late to turn.

When you emergency brake and somthing is dead ahead, you get tunnel vision. Its natural among most people, And is actually common in alot of sports like Rugby.

Point is Hamilton saw it late slammed brakes and the rest is reflex/instinct.
More could have been done.

I knownyou are trolling as usual so I'll ignore most of that but if you watch the video you'll notice everybodies rain light is flashing in the pit lane except for Kimi's and that may have fooled LH long enough to when he was out of time to react.

You know all about trolls don't you?

I'm certainly not trolling. I just want clarification of what happened and Johnson has been good enough to provide such an answer to my question.

Doubt a driver would confuse a flashing light with a static light. Suffice to say, the guy messed up.

Guess your right. I didn't know wether to laugh or cry. Hamilton out - good, Raikonnen out - bad!

With the canadian GP being a fast low downforce track similar to Turkey. It would appear that the Mclarens will be up there with RB. The real race is now between the two teams aero development.
Can the RedBuls claw back their advantage or will Mclaren continue to develop at a rate only they seem able to achieve?

It remains to be seen if they can improve their high downforce track performance later in the season.

Spa is a bit of a mixed bag which rewards good downforce and stability through fast corners in the middle sector and a bit of the last sector, and of course through Eau Rouge, with the long straight easy pickings for the powerful V8s of Mercedes, but how much is Gilles Villeneuve a tax on the engines? In reference to these two other power circuits?

If I remember correctly, it is very hard on engines, a lot of full throttle. I'll find out.... :-k

Remind me, was it turn 10 that broke up so badly in 2008?

Have they resurfaced the track?

^^ Yes, it was the hairpin. And I hope that it doesn't give anymore problems like it did the last time, that was embarrassing to say the least. Regarding a possible resurfacing, I don't know but I certainly hope that it has been done since then.

It was kinda cool watching them slide thru the cement dust in the hairpin that year.

I plan on rollerblading the track the first moment I arrive in Montreal.

I still need accommodation. Anyone know anywhere that is still not reserved all the way through

They apparently resurfaced the track, r0adrunn3r, last season for NASCAR.
