I see its reported that he starts at Ferarri on 1 July, just6 weeks after finishing with McL.

Either McL have poor contracts, or they don't think Fry has much confidential stuff to worry about, or something embarrassing happened!

This is the same week Lewis split with Nicole ... interesting!

You'd think that they have something in the contract which prohibits him from starting work at a rival team until the end of the season/year.

Get your facts straight! The RRA was signed on 24.July 2009 and took some time to develop an impact on the F1 team HR policies. The big reductions in force are only coming into effect in 2011. No team was massively shedding head count in 2009 but in 1010 we are most likely to see the main effect from the agreement.

Ross Brawn was last hired by Honda Racing F1 on 26. November 2007 for the position of team principal. He has held this position since that day through various company changes including a management buy out and the Mercedes buy out. So to compare his job change with Fry's is completely ludicrous.

Honda was managed by loosers until Brawn arrived there. He shaped the team into winners, brought it championships and unprecedented economic success with the Mercedes investment and huge sponsorships.

Brawn also reduced the workforce massively below the 2010 RRA target. If any team is in a need to hire in 2010 due to under strength of head count it is Mercedes.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

It was not a comparison, it was an example. You said hiring top people in times of crisis is a sign of internal weakness, RRA or not.

What matters is that none of this elaborations can prove an organization is strong or weak. Hiring top people alone might be any of those two and my guess is that this is more to a sign of smartness than anything, as good and proven people are valuable and worth to have at anytime if you can pay. Doesn't mean they don't have enough of them already. Calling a team poor bugger only because something like this is more of a wish than an opinion or a fact, specially a team that is in 3rd in the championship.

Those attempts to make critics to Ferrari are pretty suspect, as something that can mean lots of different things is taken for sure as something that is able to put them in a bad position. First it was with the "all Italian" thing that was going to making them get ruined "for sure" and they are for sure not ruined. Then it's always about they failing if not getting more money, because money is "for sure" their only strength, as if McLaren hadn't more budget in several occasions and money came to them by being incompetent.

Now they made a good buy, that's it. You can't tell they are stealing/burning money/weak/are going to be ruined only by that. I cheer for Red Bull so far and have never been a big admirer of Ferrari, they have many not good actions for sure, but that's taking it way too far.
I've been censored by a moderation team that rather see people dying and being shot at terrorist attacks than allowing people to speak the truth. That's racist apparently.
