A true F1 Connoisseur needs not corner numbers. We can count to 20 if the occasion calls for it. In this case 14 is the maximium and well within reach. :wink:

A true F1 Connoisseur doesn't need any stinking maps – instead, he knows the corner names by heart, along with their radii, width and girlfriend's name.

should be intresting with many teams expected to bring large updates.
i think the tyres will talking point though. i can see 4stops being the norm.

ad i doubt anyone will be flat through turn 8, remember the cars are down on downforce.

They'll probably have to save some tyres too - taking too much out of them through T8 in qualy might be detrimental to the start, seeing that T1 and T3 are also left handers, and ones that IIRC are taken with braking on the entry.

Well, "proper" circuits have corner names rather than numbers. Only these new-fangled circuits have numbers... :wink: :lol:
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Anyone remember what the pitlane loss is here? In China it was something like 17-18 seconds for an average pitstop

It would seem like you would have to try to make a 3-stop strategy work. With a 4th stop you'd be throwing away an extra 19 seconds to change one more time, but without enough laps to regain the lost time (assuming a 1 second delta for new vs old tires)...

I think you're forgetting that if you're on a 4 stopper, for 3-quarters of the race you'd be on a different stage of the pitstops. It's not just looking at one stint.

Try counting the Shanghai corners, not an easy task.

So far, the main degradation seems to affect the rears more than it does the fronts. Could it be that with T8, this could actually lead to a more balanced deg?

But aren't they saying T8 will wreak havoc on the right side more-so than the left? Does this also include a front/back havoc-bias?
