I wasn't making any assertion at all about the performance of Merc – only that the post wasn't worthy of a +1 at all – it was just a bunch of logical fallacies.

Being the last day of testing, i have yet to see McLaren test a passive drag reduction device. We know Mercedes and Lotus have tested them since last year, and that Redbull was seen with one this week, we can also make a fair guess that Ferrari (given the pictures of what seems to be a duct to the beam wing) has tested. Is there a reason why all the top teams tested such a device except for McLaren?

That's what makes me think that... Don't trust that guy, after the circus that was the beginning of last year.

Tyre issues ?
IMO quite a normal pattern from tests this season, and not exclusive to RB or soft tyres.

You don't trust the man, therefore all things he ever says are false?

Well, you might be right about that, but I feel generous today.

Rosberg - 1:20.723

People start to flex their muscles a little bit.

Autosport : 10:25 Alonso improves to 1m20.809s, less than a tenth behind the pacesetting Mercedes.

Where are you Macca/RB?

I personally think Mercedes is - possibly Ferrari too with that latest run. I don't think the others are.

Its testing, everyone is running a different program.

Ferrari and Mercedes would most likely be testing the ultimate threshold of soft tyres to see how the new softer compounds cope under constant stress.

Would be interesting to know if both Rosberg and Alonso managed to do 5-6 laps during the same stint they set the fastest times. If these are on lap runs only, it says a lot about Hamiltons run yesterday.

I don't trust the man, therefore everything he says remains to be confirmed... Looking at the times this morning, that's the feeling I had. Until Rosberg posted his time on marked soft...
