Vettel and Hulkenberg have a starting tyre choices, given no Q3 time. Button will start on very fresh (but not entirely fresh) mediums.

I'm intrigued by the way the strategy will pan out for these three - though I still think options first will give track position (as when the medium tyre runners stay out longer, the soft runners will get an undercut. Unless, of course - they're hampered by heavy traffic.

Pirelli literary ruin F1 with this rubbish tire. I am sure those fans who paid hundreds of dollar and waiting for hours in the grand stand will be cursing.

It will be between Kimi and Fernando tomorrow.

Mercs will chew their tyres tomorrow.
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

I don't have the lap times, but didn't Lewis do a 27 lap run on Primes in FP2?

So basically you'd be okay with F1 being a spec series
Are you referring to my messages (because i didn't say that) or is a missadressing from you ? please if you are referring to my messages can you point out at which part...
Every variable is the same for everyone and they'd have to set the car, strategy and driving within those constraints.
We agree that this is what i'm trying to say all day long. So thanks for supporting me... :o
teams and drivers and invalidating their prowess with crappy tires
I never and ever said that i like this tyres...what i said is that is the same for everyone, like it is from 2007...isn't it ??

And also can you please point out which are the races that you have liked since Pirelli enter Formula 1 ? please name some of them since 2011.
Furthermore there has never been a time in F1 where preserving the engines, tyres, fuel etc has not been a significant part of the strategy, therefore I have no idea what point your trying to prove by your last statement. It's as if y'all have forgotten that even in the refueling era, with a tyre war going on teams were managing the exact same variable as they are now, namely the engine, tyres etc.
Sorry but this is completely wrong in my opinion , 6-7-8-9 years ago (and not going furthermore) teams were not managing the same variable that they are managing now. I will list some of them:

Engine iteams uses 3-4-5-6-7 engines per weekend per driver. there were engine for quali (they lasted only 15-20 laps) and engine for races and furthermore if the race was stopped (at the start) and re-strated they uses another car with a new engine....crazy to imagine but true...
Now we have only 8 engines( per driver) to do all friday practices, all qualifications and all races for a long 20 weekends.

Fuel Since when refueling was ban in 2010 fuel management and engine operation has become an important variable of the race if not the most important. Before that it wasn't as important as it's now since the engine was used only for one race and usually cars get refueled every 15-20-25 laps. Sure fuel management will always be a variable in F1 (till we switch to electrical cars) but in a different statements through the years and in different importance.

tyres Since 2007 the FIA (with the agreements of the teams) entered the 1 tyre compound rule. Since 2007 tyres are the same for everyone, before that they werent. 1998-2006 is the era when fans refer to the tyre war era which is different and i repeat completely different from tyre management era.In those years a car could manages the tyres in the best way possible but if the other compound was faster (2005) they were dead from the start, it was more down to the war of the different compounds than to the cars mangin the tyres. Now it's more down to the cars and engineers that design those cars.

I bear you in mind that the fact that cars will always uses engines, fuel (i hope) and tyres does not mean that these variables will be the same throughout years..and 10-15 years from now we will talk for completely different variables.

Anyway my point is that i don't complain for a variable that is the same for everyone (even if don't like that variable) because i call this a pretty fair situation, i complain when a variable is not the same for everyone which i call this an unfair situation.

If you ask me if there are things that i don't like in this F1 well there are a lot...llike not-tests, engine restriction, virtual racing...etc... not tyres to be fair... :D but i don't complain about these things because they are the same for everyone and they does not affect the results.

Thanks for the link, Kimi does look to be in a good position to challenge tomorrow and never count Alonso out, especially with his stupidly fast-starting Ferrari from 3rd. The Prime starters will be interesting to follow.

Marc Surer mentioned that Red Bull told Vettel he had only one flying lap. So that probably means both cars were fuelled for only one in lap, one out lap and one flying lap. Webber took two warm up or out laps so he probably screwed up and ran out of fuel by forgetting his fuel state. If you have no gas for an additional lap you cannot have fuel pressure.

If he did 2 warmup lap it is because the team asked him. A driver never does 2 warmup lap if he is not asked to.

And if he really did that by himself, the team should have asked him to go back to the pit immediatly. There was plenty of time to do a flying lap without risking to put him out of fuel. In both case, the team is at fault.

Massa may have better race pace though. Perhaps Kimi, Ham, Massa, Alo? That would be fun lol. Realistically I think Kimi, Ham, Alo, Vet/Mas/Ros.

Nice performance by Ricciardo. Glad to see him in Q3 / top 10.
