Lets be fair, Riccardo was in front before JEV retired. I am not sure who would have finished ahead if JEV would have continued. I think Riccardo had a decent drive today.

Easy there my friend, Mercedes led the first lap numerous times and won just 3 races (2 times in tracks where they couldn't be overtaken).

1) I was expressing a trend, yes there will always exceptions
2) I actually can't think of an exception other than silverstone, where there's fairly obvious force majore.

Indeed. If you only read about the races in here and didn't look at the actual ranking in the WDC/WCC you could get a completely different impression about the situation and ranking

I thought Vettel did a very good job in handling the jeering at Monza.

Same stuff as webber but in higher gears so he was loosing a lot of time on the straights towards the end of the race.

The boos actually gave me a little heart about Italy. When Hamilton was booed, it was suggested it was because the Italians were all racist --- and didn't like a black winner. This demonstrates that it's not that – it's that the Italians are carist --- and don't like a non Ferrari winner (which we all knew anyway).

Racists? Come on... I think everyone with some brain knows they are simply Ferrari fanatics. And that's OK.

Imho only because both did a two stopper. This gave us a lottle more action. Monza races sadly are very boring in terms of overtaking action most of the time.

IIRC the reason for calling them racists last time round was because some of the calls were yelling MONKEY at the podium.

Agreed, this was purely two stop strategy playing out, it was a no brainer that they would be storming through the field at the end.

Sadly there are some stupid guys everywhere on this planet. But one should not make generalizations because of those few idiots.

Does anyone got an explanation for Alonso pit stop strategy? I actually thought its Ferrari's way of reminding Alonso who is the boss.

Yes, leaving him out so long was a really bad call from Ferrari. He lost more than one second per lap. There was some Alonso radio after Vettels pitstop, but I could not understand it, because it was in italian.
