One weird thing about that 2006 video, if Alonso was not on a fast lap, why did he stay in front of Massa for an entire lap? Or was Alonso doing a fast lap too?
Because Alonso was on a hurry to start his only fast lap (had technical problems). He made it with just a few seconds to go. Here MadMax' view on that accident:

LH moved off the racing line! What could Massa do?

From thinking Hamilton was out of order being in the way and blocking Massa's fast lap, I now think Massa is at fault for chopping across Hamilton when they were both on outlaps.
How so? LH had moved off the racing line, and Massa was going faster on the racing line? LH should of gave the corner, he had no idea what lap Massa was on.

I don't think there should be a penalty, but it was clearly LH fault.

LH already has 1 repremand this weekend, another and he may be looking at a grid spot penalty.
 Penalty for what? Getting chopped? Seriously guys this Ham-hate has to stop. It is too rampant in this site. Can't you be a bit more objective? Look at my first post on the matter. I initially said it would have been Ham's fault IF they had collided (which they didn't, Ham went all the way out of track to avoid it). Now if Massa was also on an outlap it is clear he was at fault and pushed Hamilton out of the track. Penalty should be given to Massa OBVIOUSLY.
What part of "I don't think he should get a penalty" do you not understand?

Now, a driver who has already been investigated and repremanded once in the weekend may not be looked on so favorably a second time he is involved.

Oh right, Alonso made it with 2 seconds to spare or something. Oh well, I'm back to my blame FIArrari position then :p

Hamilton was off the racing line because another car passed him before I think. Massa should have waited behind as usual. At the very least Massa should have taken a wider line at the turn and not push Hamilton completely off track. Do you remember yourself yelling about Hamilton not giving enough room for Webber in Singapore or should I remind you?

@alanbaldwinf1: Hamilton and Massa were called to stewards after qualifying but that was the end of the story. No action to be taken.

It will be interesting to see if Webber will be willing and able to help Vettle!
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Yes, I remember and I think I was right back then.

Now Massa and LH were apparently both on out laps so no action should be taken. But I have to see a video again to judge who was responsible for the accident.

regarding the race. I think it will all depends on how the first corner/lap goes. I think everyone will be extra careful because for all of them a DNF means no WDC. Button already said he will try not to interfere with the 4 WDC contenders. Having that said, with Vettel and Hamilton on the front row, you never know :D I thing Alonso will stay cool and be conservative in the first corner. For the rest, not sure. It depends how they stars I guess.

Anyway, I expect an epic race tomorrow. Can't wait

It's got a high mileage so hopefully it will expire, and Vettel will win a much deserved championship. :D
