I think for the first time in years the Ferrari looks really stunning.
They looked the same one year ago.
Not really. They didnt bang in great laps every time they got out, and their longer stints where generally well down on Merc. This is more akin to 2017, even that wasnt this good for Ferrari IMO.

Vettel ends first day of testing on top

Sebastian Vettel was fastest at the end of the first day of testing at Barcelona. A reliable Ferrari allowed him to do more than 160 laps, sending a strong message to Mercedes and other rivals.

Vettel did a big pile of laps today - he'll need a decent massage and a hot bath after that lot! Good number of laps by the Mercedes duo too, to finish not too far back on the lap count from Vettel. A number of teams exceeded 100 laps which is not bad for day 1 of the test season.

Did we learn anything? Not much. Much less than the teams did, that's for sure.

Sainz on C4 supersofts does a 1:18.5, 0.4 off Vettel's time this morning on C3 softs.
Yes glory runs as usual for McLaren.
Well, they should have used the C5 in that case. I guess Monday isn't your best day.

That the teams across the field have their reliability sorted. And that Williams has problems...
