They look as if they might have trouble getting into Q3 15th for Alonso, looks as if they're struggling bad

This was to be expected. Although I think it's very safe to assume that they're once again using a wet setup, meaning we're not seeing the car's true speed. It's just that rain is the only chance the F2012 has for success at this point.

As far as I know, there's not a single word in either the technical regulations or the sporting regulations that even implies such a practice is banned.

Maybe it's worth a shot.

Just how much chance is there for rain in the race exactly?
If there isn't much it seems like quite a gamble for Alonso, especially considering all his talk of damage control.

i think that his win in Malaysia gives him a chance to take more risks..
