I think the advantage Red Bull have now looking at next year is familiarity with the circuits where they struggled (Austria, Australia, Brazil), so it's much less likely that they would struggle with the setups next season, with a full season on the current car concept under their belt. There will be 6 sprints, but they will be at circuits which Red Bull has already driven. They have data.

Please people, can we go back to discussing content related team stuff? Not here to read the personal bickering, it's offtopic and not worhy of this technical forum.

<mod edit: indeed, a lot of personal stuff just poofed away, this post made very much sense in the context in which it was posted>

I am a bit surprised with how small the setup window of the car is. It didn’t look that way the last 10 races imo.

There is a monstrous amount of purely antagonistic posting going on here, I will be reviewing later, warnings will (most likely) be issued. Some long term forum users (who really do KNOW the forum rules, and DO KNOW BETTER) will (most likely) get a bit ‘aggy’ about this…

Marko has just confirmed they are hiring Daniel Ricciardo for ‘23 as RedBull’s reserve driver.

Great to see him coming back to RedBull.

.
From the PC this morning:

On Friday in Abu Dhabi, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko implied to Sky Germany that Ricciardo would be returning to the team as a third driver for the 2023 season, while taking on show run and marketing duties.

Asked about Marko’s comments, and the prospect of Ricciardo rejoining Red Bull, Horner said:
“We haven’t signed anything yet, but Helmut in his enthusiasm has obviously announced it! I guess that means that Daniel will be joining us, unless of course he chooses not to sign it!

You have to click on the text to hear Horner talking, otherwise you will get the F site.

I think a lower DF setup is better here, given there isnt any real scope for overtakes in the slower corners which would need a higher downforce setup. Probably the way they have gone with Checo.
