it's an improvement no doubt,i just expect/hoped it to be around 1.5 whit this new PU and aero..

he was 0.150 down in S1,then lost 1.7 in S2, and another 0.8 in S3.

Alonso losing 1,7ish in S2 whit that big straight,so despite upgrade and 4th in speed trap,it seems speed still killing us.

The PU update was the combustion engine only, wasn't it? Their main issue is the deployment of their ERS systems, and getting them to harmoise with the engine and turbo, that's where the main lack of speed lies. The focus on CE development will be aimed towards next years design.

After listening to some on-board footage it does certainly sound a lot smoother (healthier), but keeps that nice throaty roar at low revs.

They did not run the engine at full power. Alonso was only 2 tenths faster than Button in secotor 2 in the wet... So let us wait for dry running to really see the difference.
