They want to hit the ground running in 2015, go for performance first and then work on the reliability side of things over the course of the season. McLaren haven't been in this kind of shape for a long while, they appear to have find their motivation once more.Vasconia wrote:No big concers about yesterdays lack of running. Its absolutely normal but I hope they make more today. Mclaren said that this car was the beginning of a long path to built a WC winning car but reality says that this was not true. The have already tried to built a WC car. The engine, the package, the chasis, everything is aggresively and ambitiously done in order to achieve something important.
Mclaren seemed more cautious but Honda stated clearly that they wanted to built a winning car as soon as posible. No politics from the Japanese side.taperoo2k wrote:They want to hit the ground running in 2015, go for performance first and then work on the reliability side of things over the course of the season. Anyway seems Button has been doing installation laps so far, they must be checking the fixes for yesterdays problems. Hopefully those are sorted and Button can get a bit more running than Alonso did.

Am I correct or is Side Pylons futher forward
They had problems starting the engine, did 2 instalation laps and have been in garage since 9:40. AMuS reported few fire-ups since then but car didn`t left the garage.Vasconia wrote:Mclaren seemed more cautious but Honda stated clearly that they wanted to built a winning car as soon as posible. While I agree with you 100% I also agree with Mclaren's #TestingIsTesting twitter topicDiesel wrote:McLaren still trying to fix "a recurring problem". This test has become more of a shakedown at this stage. Shame they couldn't get these things sorted on a filming day or something.
As i said before nothing more should be expected realistically from at least the first 2 Days. The PU Hardware looks Solid from what we can see. Work on the glitches / miscommunications... ant we have a way better picture.Diesel wrote:This test has become more of a shakedown at this stage.
