Uhm, not sure why people are saying that the yellows advantaged Ferrari somehow...
The yellow flag caused by Ferrari disadvantaged Max, who had to lift. A Ferrari got pole by 0.07s. So it is incorrect to say Ferrari gained an advantage, but more so benefitted from Leclerc's mistake in that Max had to lift which prevented a faster lap.

If any non Brits happen to be in UK towards the year end, have a fun day and go to a 'panto'.
It is really cringeworthy, Your kids will have a whale of a time, and you may understand a little more the 'Boo he's behind you' mentality. I think much of it is in this vein, although I was not there.

This is different to the serious BOO (swear words and fingers, which has no place in sport or anywhere else)
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Pure class from Lewis.

Lewis Hamilton on the boos from British fans towards Max Verstappen:

speaking_head "I think we are better than that. They shouldn't do that. Of course fans feel emotions and some may still feel the pain of last year. But I don't agree with it." #F1

He is 100% focused on sunday, doesn’t care about boos or comments. He knew pole was his but yellow flag messed it up. Anyway you get points on Sunday.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

So, the champ had some bad luck with the yellow in that last lap, otherwise it would have been pole, but still a great performance and all to play for tomorrow.

Does anyone have any reliable race pace differences between the top 3 cars? I think RB made a big leap forward overnight and a few runs Max did on the soft were pretty consistent in FP3. But not sure if there were any race runs in there.

And for Ferrari, Sainz said they are looking at his FP2 pace for the race as they had some issues in FP3, which they believe were solved before qualifying; which is to say, no, not very clear because of course Red Bull indeed did a good overnight job. I still think Red Bull probably has the pace, but it will of course depend on the start, and let's hope that they are close enough for a good fight. Merc. seemed a way behind the Red Bull and Ferrari, but less than they were before, so are likely to at least be a factor in strategy.

and @dialtone.

Thanks. Guess we have very little information given the overnight upgrades from most teams, so its pretty all open given race pace tomorrow.

I think strategy is going to be very key, especially if there is a risk of rain, followed by a drying track, followed by more showers. The intensity of the showers seemed pretty hard today and its not uncommon for heavy isolated showers in the UK summer (the joys eh).

I think tyre choice will be decided very late on if there is rain forecast on whether a soft or medium tyre might be the better start choice. I will however be shocked if anyone starts on the soft for a longer stint unless there is a huge risk of imminent rain very early on in the start of a dry race.

Edit: Looking at some of the high res weather models, doesnt have much risk of rain for race day tomorrow with a temp around 18-20c.

V2 edit: If its a dry race, then there will be greater use of tyres since none of the teams used slicks in qualifying. When do Pirelli normally stick up the best strategies?

Good words from the Merc team towards the fans. I do imagine it will fall on a lot of deaf ears though, but as Toto said.....theres no place for boo'ing in sport.

Get help. First you spout inaccuracies that Max wasn't hindered, and then you change your tone after evidence proves you wrong. You can admit you were wrong, but obviously you try and switch it around to infer a conspiracy that no one here insinuated. I guess you must be thinking that because everyone at the track is booing Max, perhaps even the marshals?
Get help, eh? So you infer I have a mental illness just because you don't like a post of mine? Great debating technique you have there.
He is probably asking you to take help to go thorugh the data thoroughly. May be @Juzh can help.
That isn't what was meant at all. It's a common enough insult seen around forums on the web.

Does anyone know why the pit team garages arent in order this time round? I always thought they went in WCC order from the previous season. It seems different to previous races
