Red Bull RB19

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

IMHO it's just the rounded transition (just above the cam pod in this image) Image

The reflections in that area can easily trick one into seeing other shapes (?)

The radiator inlets have parallel grooves on the floor of them. Interesting.

Sky sports coverage. The inside of the lower lip is ribbed like a blue whale.

Another excellent spot, I'll have to try and get a picture.

Not sure about that, all I just saw on photos again is carbon weave.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I dug through the footage and couldn't see anything. If you don't post screengrab or something it's difficult to say. Some features only appear from certain angles/lightning

I see light reflecting off it and I swear it looked ribbed. Gonna see what I can find...

I'll have a look shortly if it's not found. Could you confirm if it was from an overhead shot of the car coming out of the garage? @platinumzealot

I notice they always hang something inside the sidepod that has a red ribbon on it to indicate that the pods have something in it. Could it be related?
For Sure!!

The twitter analysis is nice but it misses some of the floor edge detail ahead of the floor edge wing

The main weakness of the car seems to be on the brakes. As the car sheds weight further below the weight limit I am predicting that they'll change the brakes to some extent, although maybe that's not something they'd do in the budget cap era in-season.

Other than braking I don't see a significant weakness relative to any other car. It is very efficient, good in every speed of corner, class of the field traction at Bahrain, best tyre management.. It's hard to predict how they will develop other than the famed mirrors
