Anyway, you might remember how some journalists were blaming Sara Carbonero, Casillas' girlfriend, for the defeat against Switzerland. Well, it's true the interview wasn't the best ever. Anyway, he was interviewed again after the final. He looks really happy, and thanks his family, his friends, everybody. And then, obviously:

Well the guy has a point! If you just won the World Cup. You just want to celebrate and kiss your girl! So only old people who can bitch about everything on the tv think that kiss is a problem!

I hear disappointment talking there. Some faults by Oranje earned red before halftime, so I wouldn't complain too much if I were you. It was about time someone got the red card. Planting a foot in someone's chest and stepping away with yellow is rediculous.

Also, Spain played the best football, especially against Germany they were impressive I believe. Constant pressure, hardly any mistake and no aggressive play. Well done!

As for the offside, there was none, it's that simple. Spain deserved the win because they scored one more time. Robben could have finished it much earlier, but those who miss all their chances will never win.

....
The referee choose Spain it's side ALL the time! And that is just not right! Specially in a FINALE MATCH.

And about the foot in the chest, he didn't do it on purpose! You can see that, and maybe he deserved red for dangers play! But he didn't, but with did the referee do, he gave Heitinga red for something that is not even worth it!

You may be interested to know that all the spanish newspapers are raging about the hard game allowed by Webb. Someone went as far as quoting Mrs. Webb: "If he can't handle our kids, I don't know how he'll handle 22 adult men". It's always incredible how different opinions sport generates.
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

I've got a better one!

EDIT: I've got another one, not as funny but very showing:

Tell me, magic mirror, what is the sanction for a tackle from behind, against the holding leg, and with no intention to play the ball?

Well, if both teams end up angry with the referee, it can hardly be blamed on the referee. It was the most difficult job on earth yesterday.

I find it ironic that it's Van Pummel -- sorry Bommel -- near the kung fu kick to the chest. I guess De Jong was trying to one-up his mate in the bad fouls category. Horrendous. I wonder if Alonso has any holes in his chest from NDJ's studs.

The match was OK, Spain played well as did Holland. But if the referee didn't choose Spain side as he did now it would been a much better game!
Dude, you can't be serious. I was impartial for this final and would have been happy either one had won it. But the Dutch should have been down to 9 men by halftime. And Webb was forced into all those yellows by the hard tackles of players, not because he wanted. It would have been a travesty had he NOT given out all those cards.
Sorry you lost, but the Dutch had their chances and missed them. And the way they approached the game was ugly and thus in a way, I'm glad they lost. They have the players to play straight up against Spain but decided to go with the "let's kill them" approach. Shame on them. They let a lot of fans down in their country and out.

Well, I think doopie2you is serious. On the other hand, I'm not!!!!! :D

Seriously, my condolences. I still think Nederland was soooo close: only luck saved Casillas in that shot he deflected with the point of his right foot.

My son follows a team that ended 4 times in second place in the Americas Cup (I mean, Southamerican soccer club cup, that's its name: Copa América). We understand your pain. We also understand some spaniard team members are in pain today... they have a couple of bruises. ;) The problem with soccer referees is that they cannot take the cane and the dog into the field.

Spain, WC. Oh, man. I thought I won't live to write that. Let's have another Rioja...

Come to Holland, and ask people if they are not for Holland any more! Bet ya €100 they all say they are still 100% Dutch supporters!

Everybody says the same, the referee choose Spain it's side! And the way the Dutch played is called Football on higher level. This is not football on age 13 any more! I don't know if you saw Netherlands - Brasil ! Brasil did play hard to! But we did to! That is Football! And yeah some actions were not very nice! Like the one of De Jong! But that is maybe 1 or 2 in the whole match!

And if you don't believe me that the Dutch don't like our team any more. Then watch NOS Nederland 1 TV channel! The team is being Honoured in Amsterdam! And there are like 1 Million people there! And allot more people watch it on TV!

Doopie, you can't tell me that the traditional Dutch style was on display in the final. They played like thugs and it was ugly. Before the match, I did not care who would have won; I would have been happy just the same if the Dutch won. But as the match progressed and when finally Spain won, I was really happy that they did and even more that the Dutch lost due to the ugly display.
